New Year Celebrations

happy-new-year-images1.jpg

Our theme this half term is Chinese celebrations.

We are comparing a European New Year and a Chinese one. We pretended we had our own New Year's party. First, we went outside just before midnight (not really, Mum's and Dad's!), counted down from ten and then shouted as loud as we could "Happy New Year!!!"

The celebrations continued with lots of hugs and handshakes and we sang Auld Lang Syne a traditional ScottishNew Years song that means we will forgive and forget what has happened in the previous year.

Finally, Jack was then chosen as he is tall, dark and handsome to be our first foot. He entered our classroom first to try and give us lots of Godd Luck. It's working so far!
