To float or not to float?
That is the question! As part of our Water Theme (Mission H2O) in Year 2, we have been learning what kind of materials float and which sink.
We tested lots of materials...hard, soft, spongy, flexible, waterproof...
We discovered that light object often float and heavy objects often don't. We were surprised that some heavy objects do float due to their special shape.
We made a ball of blu tack (which sank) into a boat shape and it stayed afloat!!!
