Wicked Warm Whithaugh Week !!

For the first time since we've been going to the Scottish Borders for our school residential, we did not see one drop of rain !!!
An amazing week saw seventeen year six and seven year fives enjoy a wide range of activities over five scorching days.

Just look at the long list of activities that the twenty four enjoyed - Swimming, abseiling, raft building, kayaking, gorge walking, bride and groom game, making shelters, paper aeroplane competition, tee-shirt painting, the maze, Low Ropes assault course, tracking and basketball.

There are bound to be ones I've forgot about !!

The week showed the impact of the high amount of swimming we do in Key Stage 2. Every child took part in all the water activities. This is the first time this has happened and it shows the increased confidence we have at Roman Road when in the water.

A great time was had and lots of new skills learnt. Teamwork was certainly improved across the week which was great to see.

The photos are now in the gallery. Follow this link to see them:

Well done to the twenty four for all their efforts over the week.
