Year 2 were amazed that French people actually EAT snails! We read a book called 'The Snail and the Whale' by Julia Donaldson (the person who wrote 'The Gruffalo'). It was a rhyming story and was about a snail who wants to see the world. She hitches a ride on the tail of a whale!
We used clay to mould and shape the form of a snail. Do you like them? They are super! We decided that we prefer making clay snails to eating real snails!
