Hannukkah in Year 2
We made potato latkes, a Jewish savoury pancake eaten during the festival of Hanukkah!
We fried the pancakes in oil!
Then we ate them...YUM!!
Jewish people have a lot of fried food during Hanukkah. This reminds them of the oil in the Menorah (candlestick) which was only supposed to last one day but God let it last 8 days. Hanukkah cards show the message 'A great miracle happened there'!
