Our Autumn 2009 Materials Work has been super! We toured the school to find examples of solids, liquids and gases. One of our favourite experiments was about dissolving. We dissolved 4 solids in water...salt, sugar, sand and tea leaves.
We planned our experiment and predicted the outcome. We also made sure our test was fair then worked in groups of three to try and dissolve the solids. The sugar and salt dissolved but the sand and tea leaves did not!
