Frozen in Time!
This Term our theme has been Time Travel. We travelled back in time to meet Guy Fawkes. We learned all about the 'Real Hallowe'en' and we even visited a real castle. But we never expected this!
Our Magic Time Travelling dragon, Denzel sent an S.O.S. to Year 2. A dinosaur had been trapped in the ice and could not escape. He wanted the Year 2 children to rescue it!
We did an experiment in groups of 3 to see which ice cube melted first. We wrapped the ice cubes in 4 different materials...metal foil, plastic bag, bubble wrap and air. We predicted which material would win. The metal foil won!
We rescued the dinosaur and now it lives on our Science Table

I remember learning that the ice cube melted faster when it was wrapped in the tin foil
