Following our interest in watching the birds in the tree outside the classroom window we decided to make our own bird feeders. First we measured and cut some wood panels. We then had to cut some wire to fit around the wood to make a cage. We glued and nailed the wood together, then stapled the wire around it. ( With the help of the teacher ) We put some string around the top to hang it up with. It was then ready to fill with bird food - nuts, seeds, bread etc. We are looking forward to hanging them up and watching all the different kinds of birds that will visit it.
