Control Technology with Bee Bot

website%20beebot.JPG

On Monday we visited Gateshead's City Learning centre near the Metrocentre. We were there to learn all about giving directions and inputtng inormation into Bee Bot.

First we all showed Anne that we knew our directions - forward, backwards, left and right. We practised giving ourselves instructions - e.g. going forwards 3 steps snd turning right. Then she introduced us to Bee Bot, a busy yellow bee. We learnt how to input the correct information and then pressed go. We used this to make Bee Bot move around lots of different mats and ICT programs on the interactive whiteboard.

It was a great afternoon out!

All of the information we have learned, we have been using in our numeracy work this week. Go on, give us a direction and see if we can follow it - you'll be amazed how good we are.
