Fairy cakes

The children in the MSB have been baking fairy cakes. They had to follow a recipe and developed mathematical skills when weighing out the ingredients and fine motor skills while mixing. The children worked in small groups and were encouraged to take turns and work cooperatively together and to be patient. Hygiene was a priority from beginning to end. Everyone in the class had a taste of the cakes and all agreed they were delicious. Each child took some home to share with their family. The children are eager to see what is next on the menu. Watch this space!!!
