Mickey needs an umbrella!

PA140080.JPG
Year One have been communicating via Mickey Mail with Mickey mouse in Florida. Unfortunately on one of the days the weather over there was heavy rain and Mickey did not have a suitable umbrella. How did we help him?

Mrs Inkster had provided each group with a range of different materials. We then stretched each of the materials over a clear jar. After that we used a syringe to drop water onto the materials. If the water went through the material into the jar we knew it wasn't waterproof and therefore no good for an umbrella.

Finally we discovered the cellophane and bubble wrap were waterproof and quickly emailed Mickey our results. He was extremely pleased at our quick response and him and his friends quickly made a waterproof umbrella for the weather.
