A special visitor came into class to see the children.
Trinny the Mongrel came in with Mrs McKeown.
Trinny is a 'hearing' dog. We all are used to seeing dogs being used to help blind people but it's a bit more unusual to have a visit from a hearing dog.
Hearing dogs help people that are deaf to respond to sounds like doorbells and smoke alarms. As with dogs for the blind, hearing dogs are also trained to a high standard.
The children enjoyed meeting Trinny and finding out about the job she does.

I think that the dog look great. I wish I'd had seen him. I think that it is a great picture.
