Experimenting With Circuits in Year 4

Year four are starting their topic on Electricity. We have learnt that electricity from the sockets and lights IS VERY DANGEROUS AND WILL KILL YOU IF TOUCHED.

Most batteries are low voltage and can be used. We connected wires, batteries and bulbs together.

We learnt that if you keep adding bulbs but don't increase the amount of batteries (also known as cells), the bulbs will get dimmer because the electricity is shared between them.

Some children extended their learning by using a bell and a switch.
Look out for more work from year 4 about electricity and our special project we are going to do.
