Mrs.Jones Y5 class went on a trip to Thornley Woods October 2005
We learnt about dangerous poisonous plants and safe plants.
We saw a rabbit scurrying through the woods. We saw a tree that was shaped like a face but it was not carved in to it. We all went on a nature walk by the river. Also we saw some fish and carried out a test. We through an apple into the river to see how fast the river was going. After that we made our way back to have our dinner.
After that we had fun doing an orienteering activity. Later, we went back and looked at some stuffed animals and some real fur from animals. We got a nature badge with an animal on and a pencil free. We talked about the nature walk and marked our activity sheet. Then our coach came and we went back to Roman Road Primary School. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and thought it was brilliant. When we went back to school the next day we wrote a non-chronological report.
