Music

At Roman Road we continue to include many musical activities within the curriculum. We have half termly visits from the fabulous Gateshead Music Team! There are always opportunities for us to join in and we thouroughly enjoy the visits!
The children in Key Stage Two are continuing to learn key board skills with the Music Co-ordinator as part of their music time. They learn listening, perorming nd composing skills. There maybe another Chopin coming from our school!

The Harvest festival was very successful and we sang beautifully! The carol service was also a sucess, some children singing solo and in small groups.

The Key Stage Two Christmas production was 'Rock Around Christmas'. The modern perfomance went down well with both children and adults. The performers worked very hard and learnt their lines and songs completely in their own time as part of the 'Performing Arts' after school club.
We definately have some budding actors and singers here at Roman Road.

We look forward to working towards this years school performances including an Easter Service, Year 6 production of Grease and the Foundation Stage Spring concert.
